I’m looking to rent a property in London and was looking for some advice on whereabouts would be the best area to choose. It’s going to be a huge step for me as I’m not someone who has ever been used to the hustle and bustle of city life but my new job is relocating me there and I feel it will be a great opportunity. It’s a mixture of nerves and excitement right now but I’m hoping – fingers crossed – that if I’m able to choose the best of what the city has to offer then it will be as smooth a transition as it possibly can be. I’m not too bothered about commuting times as, like I said, I really would like to find somewhere decent to settle that I know myself will be a long-term venture. I want somewhere with a fairly young and trendy vibe, with plenty happening on a day to day basis. Lately I’ve been doing a spot of online browsing around the prices of property to rent in London as well as some of the main areas in London that I have heard a lot about and that have caught my eye. High Barnet, Shoreditch and Primrose Hill are such examples. All are somewhat pricier locations I know, but I’m willing to spend more to get exactly what I’m looking for.
